Enrolment Procedures

In general, after an enquiry has been made and you have received from us the general information you need, the next step is to make application for admission into the School. This can be done by taking the following steps:

  1. Send to the school the enrolment application form. Include with the application form the following:

    • the last school reports of the student
    • a letter of recommendation from a teacher or someone who knows the student well and will guarantee their behaviour

  2. Make an appointment with the Director of International Students to discuss the following issues:
    • guardianship
    • accommodation
    • any other factors needing clarification e.g. class level

  3. Write a letter  to the school confirming the details of guardianship and accommodation.
  4. The school will consider your application and notify you of its decision.
  5. In the case of accepting an application for admission a formal letter of Offer of Place will be sent to you along with an invoice for the school fees.
  6. The student, parents or guardians will then decide whether to accept the Offer of Place or not. A formal letter of response, notifying the school of this decision is required.
  7. The school requires fees to be paid in full prior to admission into the school.
  8. A receipt will be issued.
  9. The student is then able to apply to the New Zealand Immigration Service for a Student Visa at the New Zealand or High Commission Office.
  10. The Director of International Students will communicate with students and their families on the arrangements for starting school.

Please contact the Director of International Students at St Paul’s Collegiate School at any time if you have any questions.
