Orientation
Orientation for new students
Each new international student at St Paul’s has an orientation programme designed to help and guide them through their first few weeks of school.
- New students are taken on an initial tour of the school, meet their teachers and given an explanation of daily routines such as their timetable.
- Housemasters meet with the new student and explain daily routines and provide a ‘buddy’ to assist students on their first day.
- The Director of International Students meets regularly with the student during the first term and at least once a term.
- There is also a close liaison with house staff and homestay hosts to ensure students are adapting.
- Homestays are inspected prior to students moving in and are visited twice annually. Students are also visited in the boarding houses at least once a term.
