Hockey Training Schedules

Boys' First XI

The St Paul’s Collegiate School Boys’ First XI train up to three times per week and play on Wednesday evenings. The team participates in a pre season tournament at Auckland Grammar School, has a number of school exchanges, plays in the local secondary school competitions, and hosts two quadrangular tournaments each year at St Paul’s.

The team is coached by Craig Hardman who was the Midlands U21 Assistant Coach for 2010, and a squad member of the Midland National League side in 2009.

Boys' Hockey

The remainder of the St Paul’s Boy’s teams train twice a week. Coach Raynesh Smith, current Midlands NHL player and previously a Junior Blackstick, guides the Second XI Boys' Hockey team while Cameron Hayde, current Midlands U21 and Blacksticks Development Player, coaches the St Paul's Gold team.

Girls' Hockey

St Paul’s girls hockey has two teams, looked after by Neil Muirhead. He is fortunate to have the support of Women’s Blackstick, Claarissa Eshuis, who acts as an Assistant / Technical Coach. The Girls' First XI games are played on a Wednesday night and the Second XI games on a Thursday night.
