The class will be taking part in a field trip to Rangiriri historical site, Te Awamutu museum and surrounding historical sites, to support student understanding of the 1863-64 invasion of Waikato. Students will be provided with an education session facilitated by Te Awamutu museum. The trip will include visits to historical sites of significance such as Rangiriri, St Paul's Church, Rangiaowhia, and the Orakau memorial.
