St Paul’s Collegiate School is one of New Zealand’s leading independent day and boarding schools with an Anglican tradition. Catering for boys from Year 9 to 13 and girls from Year 11 to 13, the School has a roll of approximately 700 students, 64 of who are, at any time, present at Tihoi Venture School situated on the western side of Lake Taupo.
The main campus, located in Hamilton, has impressive facilities situated in an attractive setting. Our students consistently achieve impressive results in NCEA (levels 1, 2 and 3), Cambridge International Examinations and New Zealand Scholarship examinations. St Paul’s has a proven tradition of pastoral care and promotes a holistic approach to the education of its students.
St Paul’s students are highly motivated and focused, learning in classes that have a low student to teacher ratio. The School staff are enthusiastic, committed and hardworking and genuinely enjoy the challenges associated with working with young people. The St Paul’s community is extremely supportive and proud of the performance of the School.
SPANISH TEACHER (0.7FTTE)
We seek a passionate, enthusiastic, and committed person to teach both junior and senior Spanish classes. St Paul’s is a well-resourced progressive school, with relatively small class sizes, we have a reputation for student success and a national profile for innovation. All of our students use either iPads, Chromebooks or Laptops as an integral part of their learning so a high level of ICT skills is required of our teaching staff.
Spanish is a popular and growing subject at our school and we are looking for a motivated and passionate Teacher to continue to develop the subject. Support for and involvement with the school’s extensive co-curricular programme is a requirement of the appointee. This position is permanent, part time (substantive 0.6 but currently 0.7FTTE – with the potential for further growth dependent on subject interest). We are looking for someone to start in June 2017.
