St Paul's Collegiate is a leading independent school situated in Hamilton, which has a commitment to providing education of the highest quality for our students. In this role, you will be joining our Property and Grounds team, which has the responsibility of ensuring that our school facilities are kept in top-notch condition.
We’re looking for someone who has a good attitude, is reliable, has an interest in working outdoors, and ideally has relevant experience in a similar role.
Working in a school, every day is different. With a large campus and park-like grounds, some of your regular tasks will include:
- Large field care including mowing, field marking, and other seasonal requirements
- Lawn care including mowing (hand and small ride-on) and edging
- Rubbish collection
- Pool maintenance including testing and use of chemicals
- Shrub and hedge pruning and cutting
- Minor tree and flower bed maintenance
- Weeding and spraying
- Furniture moving
We're a small and very busy team, so the ability to get on with the job at hand and work independently as well as help out other team members as needed is a necessity. You'll also need to be physically fit as bending and heavy lifting will be a regular requirement of this role.
The position is permanent, full-time (40 hours per week 8 am-4.30 pm Monday – Friday), and comes with 4 weeks leave per annum.
