With a large campus and extensive facilities, we are seeking a skilled and hard-working Maintenance / Handyperson to join our Property Team.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of maintenance tasks across our school campus. Often, the first person called to a logged job, you’ll be kept busy troubleshooting and either resolving or escalating issues such as leaks, breakages, blockages, repairs, and general upkeep. You’ll need to remain calm under pressure, think on your feet, and have a breadth of practical skills. Confidence using technology is also important, as all maintenance requests are managed through our digital job logging system.
Ideally, you will have previous experience in a maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, or handyman role, and hold a full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence. A responsive, reliable, and customer-focused approach is essential. You’ll also need to be physically fit, enjoy working independently, and be happy to pitch in and support the wider team when needed.
Working Monday to Friday (8.00am – 4.30pm) throughout the year, you’ll enjoy a competitive hourly rate ($30-$31 per hour, approx. $65,000 per annum), a great team environment, and hearty cooked lunches provided daily during term time.
