▪ Pane o te Tari Reo Maaori

Located in St Paul's Collegiate School Hamilton

St Paul’s Collegiate School is one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s leading independent day and boarding kura. With a growing roll of 900 aakonga, we offer a learning environment that nurtures academic excellence, strong character, and meaningful contribution to our kura, whaanau, and wider hapori.

This is an exciting time to join our school. At the start of 2026, we welcomed our first cohort of junior girls (Year 9). In 2027, this group will progress into Year 10, creating a fully co-educational pathway from Year 9 through to Year 13.

We seek a skilled and enthusiastic Kaiako Tari Reo Maaori or Pane o te Tari Reo Maaori to join our team.

Our Te Reo department is based in a refurbished, purpose-built collaborative space, developed with aakonga, kaiako and whaanau in mind, and located in the heart of our kura. Approximately 15% of our tauira identify as Maaori, and we are committed to providing culturally responsive learning across all curriculum areas.

At St Paul’s, our vision is Cultivating Educated Contributors, and our mission is Inspiring Minds, Building Character, Shaping Futures. Alongside academic excellence, we are committed to being New Zealand’s premier boarding school, offering outstanding facilities, expert pastoral care, and diverse opportunities for student engagement. We are looking for staff who will embrace our vision and mission and work alongside us to achieve our strategic goals.

A competitive remuneration package is on offer for the successful candidate and may include time release, the teacher salary scale, management units, and the St Paul’s Allowance of $5,022 per annum. Support with relocation to the Waikato is also available if required.
