St Paul's Collegiate School is a leading independent school situated in Hamilton, which has a commitment to providing education of the highest quality for its students.
We are looking for a hard-working, honest, and flexible person to join our kitchen team working a roster which includes predominantly weekday evenings 4pm - 7.30pm and split shifts during weekends, working approximately 25 hours per week.
We operate a high-volume kitchen, preparing Breakfast and Dinner for approximately 350 onsite students and staff, and lunch for approximately 1,000 students and staff.
This role involves general kitchen support, including cleaning, washing dishes, vacuuming (with a backpack vacuum), dishing food at the servery, and food prep. One of these roles also supports the kitchen by peeling and prepping vegetables as well as unpacking and sorting stock orders, so the ability to lift heavy and bulky items will be required.
Experience in a similar role is preferred but not necessary, as full training will be provided. Most important is a willingness to join our team environment and a hard-working attitude.
On top of your regular weekly hours, the ideal candidate would also be available to work extra hours during the week when required (such as to cover leave, help with functions, etc.).
Successful applicants must be able to pass a police vet check and have NZ residency or hold a valid NZ work visa.
