St Paul’s Collegiate School is one of New Zealand’s leading secondary day and boarding schools situated in Hamilton with 800 day and boarding students.
We’re looking for a friendly, organised, and systems-focused person to join our Management Administration Team, taking responsibility for our school’s Student Management System (PC School).
Using the PC School system, the successful appointee will oversee the operations of all student reporting systems, assist the NZQA Principal’s Nominee with assessment procedures and data file submissions, and support the Deputy Headmaster – Curriculum and Assessment with school-wide academic data analysis.
The Database Manager also works closely with the Deputy Headmasters, coordinating student-centric events, including annual prize giving and graduation ceremonies, teacher parent interview evenings, academic assemblies, subject choice & careers planning events. The successful candidate will need excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience with minute-taking and word processing.
Reporting to the Deputy Headmaster – Curriculum and Assessment, the Database Manager's office is newly refurbished and is located in our Senior Leadership team corridor. We’re ideally for a seasoned PA/Administrator who has proven experience in an office or school environment, is extremely efficient and thorough, is continuously looking for ways to improve systems and processes, and is adaptable to change. Prior experience in database management would be helpful; however, priority will be given to candidates who demonstrate a solutions-based positive mindset.
Working at St Paul’s, you’ll be joining an enthusiastic and experienced team who will provide training in our systems and support you so that you can hit the ground running. St Paul’s Collegiate school places emphasis on collegiality, and you’ll enjoy the positive and welcoming team culture.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity (4 weeks annual leave per year – however additional leave during the school holidays may be considered). You’ll receive a competitive salary, work in park like grounds and receive great benefits such as free parking and free cooked lunches during term time!
Applications will be reviewed as they are received so you are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
Applications will remain open until an appointment is made.
