2 November 2015

Three St Paul’s Collegiate School students – Ben McColgan, Quinn Bowie and Greer Baldwin – have been chosen to attend the Rarobank Agri-Leadership Camp from 25-28 January next year.

The camp, which aims to educate and influence students to consider careers in the primary industries, attracted hundreds of applicants but only thirty Waikato students were successful.

Over four days, students will interact with representatives of New Zealand’s leading companies of the primary industries including Dairy NZ, LIC, Greenlea Premier Meats, AgResearch, Zespri and Silver Fern Farms.

As well as interacting with some of New Zealand’s leading businesses, students will be exposed to workshops on the breadth of opportunities available across the industry with an emphasis on science, business and technology-rich careers.

Guest speakers will touch on the aspects of New Zealand’s primary industries that sets the country ahead of the world including business and marketing, innovation and science and production and processing facilities.

At the end of the camp, two students will be offered a $1500 study grant.
