St Paul’s was one of the first schools in New Zealand to offer Agribusiness as a secondary school subject and continues to play a leading role in the programme nationally.
Developed in partnership with organisations including DairyNZ and Beef + Lamb New Zealand, the subject prepares students for future pathways across the primary industries, business, science, and innovation sectors.

Each year, Year 13 students develop and present innovative business ideas through the Crocodile Pit competition, supported by Rabobank.
The competition challenges students to apply their agribusiness knowledge in a practical setting and present their ideas to industry judges.
Winning teams attend Fieldays and showcase their projects in the Innovation Tent.
St Paul’s students have achieved national success through the programme, including Young Innovator of the Year awards.
