Which character do you play?
Serena.

In a sentence or two, sum up who your character is in the context of the story:
My character is a Delta Nu sorority girl, who is one of Elle’s (the main character) best friends. She is a UCLA cheerleader who has a lot of spirit.

What do you like most about playing this character?
It is really fun playing Serena, due to her high energy and sassy attitude.

Have there been any challenges taking on this role?
The biggest challenge for me in portraying Serena is keeping her American accent throughout the musical.

Without giving away too much, what are you most excited for the audience to see?
Serena has many cool moments throughout the show, but her funniest moment comes in the 'bend and snap' scene, and I am really excited for the audience’s reaction.

Is this your first stage show/musical or have you performed before?
Last year I was involved in Jekyll and Hyde at St Paul’s, before that I was in Into the Woods and The Wedding at St Peter’s.

Have you ever received any awards or special achievements relating to acting/singing/performing?
I have only recently begun singing and acting, however I have been dancing since I was five. I have been involved in competitive dance for the last three years and have won many regional titles. Last year I danced at the ‘Young Performer of the Year’ awards.

If you could star in any other musical, what would it be?
Wicked.

Who do you look up to (as an actor/singer/performer)?
I look up to Sutton Foster because I have danced to many of her songs and she is such an amazing singer and actor.

Do you have plans to continue with performing once you leave school?
Performing will always be a part of my life and I would love to continue with it.

Legally Blonde The Musical hits the stage at Southwell School Performing Arts Centre July 1-5.
