Students perform in front of crowds of 25,000

6 May 2014

Over the Easter break Jess Chanwai and the St Paul’s Choir performed in front of crowds of 25,000 at Chief’s games played in the Waikato.

Jess Chanwai, violinist, performed on Saturday 19 April to a sold out stadium at the Chief’s v Crusaders match. Chanwai performed a mash-up of pop songs on her electric violin, an instrument she plays at a first year tertiary undergraduate level.

A few weeks after Chanwai’s performance, on Saturday 3 May, St Paul’s Choir performed at the Chief’s v Lions game. The choir, which on the night of the performance was made up of 36 students, sung Guiding Light by Muse, Bonfire Heart by James Blunt and Some Nights and We Are Young by Fun.
