The academic programme is based on a mix of classroom and experiential learning styles, as students are given the opportunity to learn from the environment they live in. Academic standards are maintained in all subjects and technology is fully utilised in the teaching programme.
Students study the core subjects of English, Mathematics, Science and Te Takanga o te Waa (Social Studies), Outdoor Education, Physical Education and Hauora/Wellbeing are also taught during the normal school day.
On academic days after dinner, the boys return to their classrooms for supervised journaling time.
