House detentions are given by house staff or prefects for unsuitable behaviour in and around the house. House detentions are usually worked off after school.
School detentions are given by teachers for misbehaviour. They take priority over house detentions but not over masters' detentions. School detentions are worked off on Friday afternoons from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. Students are required to wear their sports uniform.
Masters' detentions are given for incomplete or unsatisfactory school work. These detentions have priority over house and school detentions and are worked off on Wednesday and Friday afternoons from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.
In special circumstances, students may be required to complete detention requirements at weekends. These detentions have priority over all other commitments.
Headmaster’s runs are given by housemasters and senior management for serious misbehaviour. They take priority over all other detentions and all other commitments. Headmaster’s runs take place between 3.30pm and 5pm on an afternoon designated by the Headmaster.
