High Performance Sports Programme

St Paul’s Collegiate School offers students, who are serious about becoming sports professionals, the opportunity to excel in their chosen sport through St Paul’s High Performance Sport Programme.

The programme lifts the performance of individual athletes and flagship teams by building the whole athlete; the physical, mental, emotional and team unity characteristics. Students are provided with one-on-one and group training sessions to help them reach their age-group potential and increase the overall performance of flagship teams.

Students, coaches and teams work closely with specialist high-performance coaches up-to three times each week in group and one-on-one training sessions. St Paul’s strength and conditioning coach works on strength training while the school’s life coach/trainer works towards improving mental game, strategic thinking and emotional skills. In addition, sports specific development officers work towards improving the overall performance of teams and individual athletes.

In Year 9 and 10 students can take part in the Junior High Performance Sport Programme, a specialist programme offered to 30 of St Paul’s most talented sportsmen. As part of the programme students receive expert training with junior development coaches that takes place three times during the six day academic rotation.
