All Year 9 and 10 students of St Paul’s Collegiate School take part in the Junior High Performance Sports Programme. The programme identifies, nurtures and develops athletes’ abilities in an environment where they are trained and mentored by specialist coaches and high profile sports professionals. As part of this programme, students receive:
- skills-based training
- strength training
- fundamental movement patterns
- hand eye coordination
The above mentioned high performance lessons aim to enhance students fitness and strength levels; develop skills; teach students about nutrition to enhance performance and improve recovery; and prepare students for their senior years as members of St Paul’s first teams.
