The team had the first game for the season on Tuesday night at Fraser High School against St John's College. We were a bit worried going into the game having not had the chance to practise prior.
St Paul's out matched St John's in both size and energy. We came out very strong, lead early in the scoring with Andre Eksteen making his presence known early on the court. Throughout the game the team kept up some great pressure, forcing a lot of turn overs, allowing us to win the game.
The points scoring was lead by a very competent performance by Josh Balme under the hoop, scoring 34 points on his own. This win is a great start to the season and the team looks forward to being very competitive in the competition.
