The 1st XI had a very convincing five wicket win over Hinuera. Hinuera started the two day game, batting first and posting 226 all out. Eli Spadoni the pick of the bowlers taking 5 wickets for 51 runs off his 21 overs. St Paul’s chased down this total to have a two run lead. Alastair Blackett bringing up his maiden hundred for the 1st XI with a brilliant 116*. Big Al has been a stalwart of St Paul's cricket and his performance was well received by all the supporters on the sideline. Alastair was well supported by Sean Dykes with his 46.

Hinuera came out in the second innings all guns blazing, but with the class bowling of Eli Spadoni with 5-47 and Matt Fisher 3-55, St Paul’s bowled out Hinuera for 177. Requiring 175 runs off 34 overs, St Pauls chased this score down with one over to spare. Bede Higgens bringing it home with his 37 not out and Alastair Blackett with 37 also.
