v St Johns

Date: Saturday, 12 August 2017 at 9.00am
Venue: St Johns
Result: Won
Score: 24-5

The St Paul’s U14 rugby team played St John’s, at St John's on Saturday for a 3rd and 4th playoff. A fortnight ago, with an understrength side, the St Paul's U14's team had heavily lost to St John’s, but now back to full might the U14's had a point to prove. To finish the season on a high. The team followed a kicking territorial game plan well and after waves of pressure the St John's defence cracked and centre, Kuwyn Price scored through some direct running under the posts. Unfortunately, St John's managed to score shortly afterwards, due to a random banana clearing kick that had gone wrong from the St Paul's side. However, this would be the last time St John's threatened to score and St Paul's went onto dominant the opposition through attacking rugby and strong defence. Kuwyn Price added another try and Sitiveni Lose also dotted down before the game was called off early due to an injured St John's player.
