St Paul’s started off positively, immediately putting HGHS under pressure. Such was the intent, that our structure suffered trying to offer support to the ball carrier. HGHS also played a committed game but were not able to penetrate our defense. 0 – 0 at the break.
A half time talk had the girls aware of their lack of structure and we were able to win a penalty corner that was converted by Zoe Lapwood in the fifth minute. Both sides played a spirited and committed second half, and although we had the better of them territorially, neither side was able to score in the remainder of the half.
A satisfying 1 – 0 win sees our girls undefeated this season!
