The second half of our season has produced matches that have generally been quite close. Although we had beaten Dio previously we had also drawn to sides we had previously beaten. Missing a few players from our usual starting lineup again saw a very tight match.
It was 14 minutes before we were able to score, through Toni Anda, and that was the only goal scored in the match. We created more pressure than Dio but we were unable to breech their defense. A strong effort from all players saw a joint team “best player” award.
This win sees us up against HGHS next week in a semi-final! (5:30pm at Gallagher)
