It was surprising that we were up against HCS as they won this division last year. Their skill and team work was evident especially towards the end of the match. Although the score was definitely not in our favour, our girls went well in their first game together. For a number of our team it was also their first match ever, so a steep learning curve for many.
HCS scored fairly regularly through the match, but our combinations in defence progressed with the game. We were able to score just the one field goal through Tara Vishwanath.
1 - 10 down at the final whistle but pleasing potential for our first time out on the field together.
