▪ Homestay Coordinator

Located in St Paul's Collegiate School, Hamilton

Our International team provides wrap-around support and guidance to ensure our international students thrive in both their academic and personal experiences at St Paul’s. As part of this, our homestay programme plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming and supportive home environment for students.

We are looking for a proactive, organised, and personable individual to join our team as Homestay Coordinator. In this role, you will:

  • Build and maintain relationships with homestay families, ensuring they are well-supported and meet the needs of our students.
  • Coordinate placements, matching students with suitable homestay families.
  • Oversee compliance and documentation, ensuring all homestay arrangements align with school policies and pastoral care guidelines.
  • Provide ongoing support, acting as the key liaison between homestay families, students, and the school.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need strong organisational and administrative skills, excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, and a genuine interest in working with students from diverse cultures.

Experience working in an international department within an education environment is essential, as is a strong understanding of the Education Code of Practice (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners).

This is a part-time permanent role working up to 30 hours per week (during term time) and with some holiday work (usually one week per holidays). The successful applicant must hold a full NZ driver’s licence and the right to work in New Zealand.

At St Paul’s, you’ll be welcomed into a close-knit community and enjoy benefits such as daily lunches and a picturesque, park-like working environment. Remuneration is between $27 - $29 per hour, based on skills and experience.

Applications close on Wednesday 3 December 2025 and can be sent to work@stpauls.school.nz.
