Outreach team brighten sick children’s Easter

8 May 2017

St Paul’s student-led Mission and Outreach team brought joy to many as they handed out donated chocolate eggs to patients in the children’s ward at Waikato Hospital last month.

The team wanted to raise the spirits of children who could not enjoy their Easter break at home.

Co-heads of the team, Michael Turnbull (Year 13) and Emi Ng (Year 13), say they were “so overwhelmed” with donations from St Paul’s community that they were able to spread the eggs to other wards in the hospital.

“We are so grateful to the all the students, teachers and families who donated. The children were thrilled with their Easter gifts.”
