On Saturday the St Paul's 1st XI went to Hillcrest High School to play their 1st XI. On this chilly morning, after a strong talk from the coach, the boys were set on dominating a team we had previously drawn with. From the kick off it was obvious that we would be the ones to dominate, after 15 minutes a goal from Waikato Ball was produced after some great play by Hamish Comber. Five minutes later another goal was produced in similar fashion except this time it was Hamish who scored. Going into the second half 2-0 we let our guard down and Hillcrest got one back. However this was the closest Hillcrest got to getting back into the game. Even though we had many, many chances to score we just couldn’t find the back of the net and ended the game 2-1 to St Paul's.
