v Hamilton Boys High School

Date: Saturday, 25 July 2015
Venue: Hamilton Boys High School
Result: Lost
Score: 2-4

Last Saturday the St Paul's lads bounced their way to a frosty Boys High pitch in preparation for a tough game ahead. After a solid warm-up, the boys were feeling ready and started the game off well with both teams having opportunities to score at either end. As the game progressed we noticed the Boys High team had a particularly dangerous winger on the right flank, this was swiftly dealt with by Chris Swanson as he accidently took out the players two front teeth with his boots. Shortly before the half we conceded an average goal to make the score 1-0 at half time. In the second half the St Paul's team collapsed a little and conceded three sloppy goals to make the score 4-0. In classic St Pauls tradition, we waited until we were behind to spark up and came back firing, with one classy goal from Zac Newdick and a chip from Chris Swanson we ended at the full whistle fighting, but leaving the end result 4-2. We Have Boys High again this week at St Paul's and would appreciate any support.
