The 1st XV travelled to Hastings over the weekend to play Lindisfarne College. The mission was not only to win the game but to score at least 4 tries, so that a home semifinal this weekend could be guaranteed.
St Paul's dominated the first half running in 3 tries. This dominance was due to the pace that the 1st XV were able to play at and their superior skill level. While 3 tries was good there were 2 more that went begging due to poor finishing.

The coaches asked for a bit more accuracy in the 2nd half, which at times the team delivered, scoring 2 more tries. However Lindisfarne were able to apply more pressure than they had in the 1st half and scored 2 of their own.
