St Paul's made an excellent start to the game dominating set pieces and putting Hamilton Boys High under a lot of pressure. Three penalties were kicked by Ferg Burke. HBHS scored late in the half with the half time score 9 – 7. HBHS played more aggressively in the second half and dominated the game winning the game 27 -9.
