We ask that every student arrive at school prepared with the necessary items, as detailed below. If you or your child is unsure of any aspect of the start of the year, then please contact the Housemaster or the main office for guidance.
Students need to bring their PE gear, togs, towel, running shoes and device on the first day and each day this week.
Uniform for the week
It is required for all students to arrive at school in a manner that meets the appearance standards. Each day has its own required uniform. Please use the guide below to know which uniform is required. Boarders should arrive at boarding in number one uniform (formal) Guidelines are found here.
- Tuesday 27 January: First day of school for all new students (greys uniform).
- Wednesday 28 January: All students return (formal uniform)
- Thursday 29 January: (greys uniform)
- Friday 30 January: (formal uniform)
Drop-off points
Parents are asked to be considerate of other drivers when dropping students off at school.
If using the Hukanui Road entrance, please drop students off at the designated drop-off zone located next to the Chapel. Parents are not to drive into the campus beyond the roundabout of the Chapel.
When leaving the school grounds, no right turn is permitted during peak hours.
Students can alternatively be dropped off at either the Casper Street or St Paul’s Road gates and walk into the school grounds.
Parents and students are not permitted to use the Casper Street entrance. Thank you to our families for your cooperation.

MONDAY 26 JANUARY
New boarding students arrive at their house at 3:30 pm. (Year 9 boarding girls – arrival as per communications from your Housemaster)
Parents of new day and boarding students attend a function (seated in the Chapel by 5:00 pm).
TUESDAY 27 JANUARY (Orientation Day for all new students)
Students need to bring their PE gear, togs, towel, running shoes and device on the first day and each day this week.
8:00 am – Students report to their House
8:30 am – Assembly followed by an orientation programme
3.30 pm – All students conclude the day in their house
7:00 pm – Returning boarding students arrive
WEDNESDAY 28 JANUARY (entire school in attendance for the first day of teaching)
8:00 am – Students to report to their House for roll call
8:45 am – Poowhiri and Chapel Service. Parents are welcome to attend
10:30 am – Interval
11:00 am – Orientation continues
3:30 pm – End of school day
