New venture for enrolments coordinator Sharon Christian and family

23 July 2021

Craving a role where her business and customer relationships skills could shine, Sharon Christian has landed the perfect role as Enrolments Coordinator here at St Paul’s.

Originally from the Hawkes Bay, Sharon moved to Hamilton in her teenage years. After finishing Hillcrest High School, she secured an office junior role as she aimed to make her way up the corporate ladder. Doing just that, Sharon has been a legal secretary at some of New Zealand’s most established law firms including Harkness Henry, Chapman Tripp and Tompkins Wake.

Sharon has spent the last 23 years at PwC, where she was initially hired as a personal assistant at Beattie Rickman. The company then merged with PwC, and more recently Sharon was promoted to business assistant. After being employed with the accounting giant for 23 years, Sharon decided to take the plunge in a new direction.

Landing the position as Enrolments Coordinator and Management Secretary at St Paul’s, Sharon is thrilled to put her interpersonal and administration skills to use. As part of her role, Sharon will guide prospective families through the enrolments process and assist the management team with their administration tasks.

“I’m really looking forward to meeting with prospective families and seeing students grow and thrive through their schooling years,” says Sharon.

In her spare time, Sharon enjoys nature walks and chatting (in sign!) with her deaf dog, Flint. She loves to potter in the garden and enjoys growing her own vegetables. Sharon also volunteers at Dress for Success and takes great pride in assisting women into the workforce.

Sharon and husband Sean have been married for 25 years and have a daughter together.
