The St Paul’s Collegiate School community came together this month to celebrate the rich diversity our international students bring to school life. The council of students planned an excellent week and decorated the school with flags.
On Friday, students were treated to a special assembly featuring performances from Anyu Sunahara, Chelsy Chai, Tiffany Bao on the Chinese flute, and Kelly Leung on the piano. The assembly also included a student-made video, with international students sharing traditional celebrations from their home countries (video here).
Following the assembly, families hosted a morning tea that was nothing short of spectacular. Tables were laden with dumplings, buns, Japanese cheesecake, popcorn chicken, egg tarts, and many other treats, generously prepared and donated by parents. The money raised from the morning tea was $1,295.80, donated to the Hamilton Combined Christian Foodbank.
