St Paul’s Collegiate School is one of New Zealand’s premier independent day and boarding schools for Year 9-13 boys and Year 11-13 girls. We are looking for approachable and engaging person to come on board as a Library Assistant. Working from our Hornsby Library in The Lander Centre - a bright and modern multipurpose building at the heart of our school, the Library Assistant role includes issuing library books, helping students and staff use the library catalogues to find what they're looking for, sort, mend, file and shelve library material, source and prepare new books for the library as well as some general administration tasks.
Working from 10 am - 2.00 pm each day (during Term Time approx 40 weeks a year), this role will also provide supervision in the Hornsby Library and Lander Centre ensuring that there is an adult presence in the space, particularly over student break times.
Reporting to the Librarian, you will be given the training and support to succeed in this role. A love of books and the ability to share that enthusiasm is essential, with knowledge or experience with library systems and databases or previous experience in a similar role desired, but not essential.
