The 2026 leaders were announced at the assembly on 24 October. Congratulations to the following students:

Head Girl: Olivia Waddell

Olivia joined St Paul’s in 2024 as a Year 11 boarder in Sargood House and has quickly made an exceptional impact across academic, service, and sporting life. A determined scholar, she graduated with Distinction in the Year 11 Diploma and has already achieved NCEA Level 2 with Merit endorsement while pursuing a challenging programme including English, Economics, Accounting, Sports Science, and Agribusiness. With ambitions to study at a leading university in the United States, Olivia continues to demonstrate remarkable drive. Her leadership extends beyond the classroom as Sargood Leader of Over-the-Fence Ministry and volunteer at St Joan’s Rest Home, reflecting her commitment to service. An accomplished rower and netballer, she has earned both her Senior Rowing and Premier Netball Caps, with podium finishes at the Maadi Cup Regatta and representation at the UNISS Premier Netball Tournament. Motivated, thoughtful, and mature, Olivia exemplifies the spirit of St Paul’s and is a deserving Head Girl for 2026.

Head Boy: Adi Manda

Adi joined St Paul’s in 2022 as a Fitchett House day student and completed Tihoi in 2023. A scholar of exceptional calibre, he graduated with Honours in the Year 11 Diploma, achieved First in Subject for Chemistry and Physics, and earned a place on the Academic Honours Board as a Scholastic Centurion. Now in Year 12, he continues to excel across an accelerated academic programme, including Year 13 Advanced Mathematics. A finalist in the National Ethics Olympiad, Adi will represent St Paul’s at the World Ethics Olympiad in 2025. Equally accomplished in the arts, he played lead roles in Little Shop of Horrors and The Wizard of Oz, performs in multiple school ensembles, and holds Junior Colours for Music. A past winner of the Haylett-Petty Memorial Trophy and St Paul’s Award, Adi is known for his diligence, humility, and humour –qualities that make him an outstanding role model and a worthy Head Boy for 2026.

Deputy Head Girl: Emma Fletcher

Emma joined St Paul’s in Year 11 as a boarder in Harington House, following her brothers, one a Collegian and the other currently in Year 12. Of Whaanau-a-Apanui descent, she brings a deep connection to the land and people. Academically, Emma is highly motivated, graduating with Honours in the Year 11 Diploma and now pursuing a demanding senior schedule across the sciences and humanities, with plans to study Engineering at Canterbury University. A talented all-round sportswoman, she represents St Paul’s in Girls’ Cricket, Water Polo, and Rugby, and excels in both Hockey and Swimming – winning the Ronaldson Trophy and sharing the Kirby Sandford Cup in 2025. Mature, considerate, and respected by peers and staff alike, Emma is an outstanding role model and a valued leader as Deputy Head Girl.

Deputy Head Boy: Gus Weir
