After a successful season on the cricket pitch, the St Paul’s Collegiate School cricket athletes celebrated their achievements with an awards ceremony on Friday 20 May. Congratulations to the following students on their awards:

Special Awards:

  • Dylan Fletcher (Year 13) was recognised for his hat trick when playing Ōtorohanga Premier
  • Samson Ferrar (Year 11) was awarded a prize for his 102 runs against Katikati College
  • Harry Trumm was awarded a prize for scoring 153 runs against Te Awamutu Premier

First XI prize winners:

  • Max Makeham (Year 11) received The Smithells Cup as the top First XI fielder
  • Will Hadley (Year 11) recieved The Headmaster’s Cup as the best bowling average in the First XI
  • Harry Trumm (Year 13) was awarded The McKean Cup for having the best batting average in the First XI
  • Cameron Bird (Year 13) was awarded the Vettori Bat for loyalty
  • Harry Trumm and Dylan Fletcher were awarded the Blackett Cup for showing the most Memorable Batting Performance
  • Will Hadley was awarded the Littlejohn/Johl Cup as the Most Improved First XI Player
  • Hunter Doull (Year 13) received the Contribution Presentation Bat for his outstanding contribution to St Paul’s cricket
  • Reuben Crum (Year 13) won the Littlejohn Cup as Player of the Year

Development XI prize winners:

  • Cormac Hodson (Year 13) and Logan Orsler (Year 13) won the Boyle Cup for their outstanding leadership and service to the team
  • Toby Shale (Year 11) was awarded the Waide’s Family Cup as Most Improved Development Player
  • Kalen Lake (Year 11) received the Shale Family Cup as the Most Valuable Development Player
  • Toby Shale was awarded the St Paul’s leading run-scorer
  • Buster Harper (Year 13) was awarded the St Paul’s leading wicket-taker prize
  • Flynn Main was awarded the St Paul’s leading fielder prize
  • Cormac Hodson, Kalen Lake and Buster Harper were awarded the 'Division 1 Dream Team' prize

Colts XI prize winners:

  • Campbell Soanes (Year 10) and AJ Lake (Year 10) received The Distinction Hotel Cup for acknowledgement of their leadership and service to the Colts XI
  • Lucas Hale (Year 10) was awarded the Robb’s Family Cup for Most Improved Player
  • Finn Bell (Year 9) was awarded the Slater Cup as Most Valuable Player
  • Quintus Daniell (Year 9) received the St Paul’s leading run-scorer award
  • Jackson Hay (Year 9) received the St Paul’s leading wicket-taker award
  • Finn Bell won the St Paul’s leading fielder award
  • Lucas Hale, Quintus Daniell and Finn Bell received the Colts Division Dream Team award

Well done to all three teams on their outstanding cricket efforts over the season.
