Eight athletes competed at the Waikato Bay of Plenty secondary schools cross country competition held in Rotorua last week.
Star performer, Jess Hood, once again reaped success placing fifth in the senior girls' event. In the senior boys' over 6000m event, John Richardson put in a strong performance to place ninth in just over 22 minutes.
The junior boys’ team of Mitchell Clark, Nathan Ingham, Matthew Johnson, Max Campbell and Lachie Townsend also performed well, running into seventh place. The best individual performance of the team was Mitchell who placed 23rd in a field of 89 runners.
In the intermediate boys over 4000m event, James Mitchell placed 44th.
