End-of-year details

Please note the key details and uniform requirements for upcoming end-of-year events for 2025.

Thursday 30 October – students wear formal uniform

  • 10:00 am: Headmaster’s Final Assembly (Chapel).
  • 1:45 pm: Leavers’ Service (Chapel). This is a full-school event. Parents are welcome to attend, although there is limited seating. We encourage viewing via the live-streaming platform.

Friday 31 October  – students wear formal uniform

  • Students wear formal uniform.
  • 8:45 am: Late start with roll call in houses (prizewinners to the Chapel at 8:15 am)
  • 9:30 am: Senior Prizegiving: Parents are welcome to attend, although seating is limited. Parents can view via the live-streaming platform.
  • 12:00 pm: School finishes for the day; students may return home or remain in boarding. Years 9–12 students may collect a takeaway lunch.
  • 12:30 pm: Leavers’ Lunch for staff and Year 13 leavers, joined by any Year 12 students finishing their secondary schooling and moving on to tertiary or vocational study.

Thursday 4 December – students wear formal uniform

Years 9 – 10 students’ itinerary for 4 December

  • 9:00–10:00 am: Tihoi Intake 2025/2 students meet with 2026/1 students in the Chapel. All students, including those in 2025/2, must meet hair regulation requirements. Re-entry students are to wear their Tihoi T-shirt over their formal uniform.
  • 10:00 am: All Year 9 and Year 10 students meet in houses  
  • 11:00 am: Re-entry Service and Exit Service (Year 9 and 10 students)  
  • 1:00 pm: Junior prizewinners go to the Chapel
  • 1:30 pm: Years 9 – 11 Prizegiving 
  • 4:30 pm: House meeting for all students Years 9 – 13  
  • 5:00 pm: Carol Service full-school event

Year 11 students’ itinerary for 4 December

  • 1:00 pm: Year 11s arrive at school and prizewinners go to the Chapel  
  • 1:30 pm: Year 9 – 11 Prizegiving 
  • 3.45 pm: Afternoon tea for Year 9 – 11 students and parents who attended Prizegiving 
  • 4:30 pm: House meeting for all students Year 9 – 13 
  • 5:00 pm: Carol Service

Years 12 and 13 students’ itinerary for 4 December

  • 4:30 pm: House meeting for all students Year 9 – 13
  • 5:00 pm: Carol Service (number ones uniform)
  • 7:00 pm: Year 13s leavers’ farewell function (see below) 

Leavers’ Farewell Function

This complimentary evening promises to be a relaxed and fun event, providing a chance to connect with friends made during time at St Paul’s. Food will include: food trucks, including two serving Asian fusion dishes, dessert from the Duck Island ice cream truck.

  • Time: 7:00 – 9:00 pm
  • Location: St Paul’s Dining Room and Tuuaapapa

Students are welcome to remain in their formal uniform after the Carol Service or change into smart-casual attire. As this is a school event, only non-alcoholic drinks will be available for students. A range of drinks for parents will be provided.
