Daily routine

To offer an insight into the typical day of a St Paul’s Collegiate School boarding student, an example timetable is provided below.

  • 6.10am – Morning run (Tuesday and Thursday, terms 1 and 4)
  • 6.30am – Rising, morning ablutions and dormitory inspections
  • 7.00am – Breakfast
  • 8.00am – House meeting (Mon, Wed, Fri) or Chapel (Tue, Thur)
  • 8.30am – Classes begin
  • 10.10am – Interval
  • 10.30am – Lessons resume
  • 12.20pm – Assembly or chapel
  • 1.00pm – Lunch
  • 2.00pm – Lessons resume
  • 3.30pm – Lessons end
  • 3.45pm – Sports practice or music/cultural rehearsals
  • 5.30pm – Dinner (students attend a formal dinner with the Headmaster on Thursday)
  • 6.30pm – Prep
  • 8.00pm – Junior supper
  • 8.15pm – Senior supper
  • 8.45pm – House meetings and evening ablutions
  • 9.00 to 10.00pm – Lights out (actual time depends on age).
