Adventure Racing

Adventure Racing is a multisport discipline that involves running, mountain biking, orienteering, and water sports such as kayaking, canoeing, and sailing. Students participate in teams around courses for events ranging from 3-12 hours long. Students must have a high level of fitness to be considered. Students who take this sport must be self-motivated, good at working with others and have a sense of adventure.

Seniors train and compete in events in preparation for the Hillary Challenge North Island Qualifier in Term 2. Juniors begin in Term 3 with the Get to Go Qualifier in August. Participation in adventure racing is by invitation only. Students wishing to participate must enquire with Mr Stewart to join this sport.
