St Paul’s Collegiate School offers volleyball to both female and male students during the summer season in Terms 1 and 4. The Senior girls’ teams play in the Waikato Secondary School Championship in Term 1, with the top girls’ team going to summer tournament. Senior boys’ play in the Waikato Secondary School Championship in Term 1. During the winter terms we will be running a Junior Development Volleyball Programme to develop our junior players. This will run in the evenings during Term 2 and Term 3. Junior Boys and Girls play in the Junior Waikato Secondary School Championship in Term 4.
Schedule
- Competition volleyball: Training is on Tuesday and Thursday after school in the main school gym. Some teams will be training at 3.45 pm – 5.00 pm, others will be training at 5.00 pm – 6.30 pm. The games are on Saturday.
- Social Games are played on the outdoor nets after school on Tuesdays.
- Junior’s play in Term 4, training on Tuesday (3.45 pm – 4.45 pm) and games on Thursday
- Junior Development in Term 2 & 3, training Tuesday (time to be confirmed)
- Senior Volleyball competition is on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm (two games and duty requirements).
Training
Training for competitive teams is Tuesday and Thursday after school in the main school gym. The games are on Saturday. Social players, play on the outdoor nets after school on Tuesdays. Junior boys play in Term 4, they train on Tuesday and play on Thursday.
Levies
The levy for volleyball is $40 per student.
