CrossFit is best described as; High-intensity functional exercise that is broad, general, and inclusive fitness. We sought to build a programme that would best prepare trainees for any physical contingency—prepare them not only for the unknown but for the unknowable. Students will learn, practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, clean and jerk, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climbs, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstands, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Mixing these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense.
