St Paul’s Collegiate School offers rock climbing as a summer and winter sport to students from Year 10 to 13. The sport is open to students of all abilities. Training takes place on Tuesday, Thursday and some Wednesdays at the Extreme Edge indoor climbing gym in Hamilton.
Students compete in both regional an national competitions including:
- New Zealand Climbing Championships
- National Series Hamilton.
A sports levy applies to this sport. Qualifying and national tournament fees and travel and accommodation costs are also disbursed to students' accounts accordingly.
